ITS Action Plan proposes follow-up measures for further ITS development in the Czech Republic. Specifically, these include obtaining and ensuring the transfer and quality of source data, storing data, assessment and processing and subsequent forwarding of the information to users or business entities. Other measures relate to traffic control, process of passenger or goods carriage and provision of related services. Final measures focus on compliance with road traffic rules and systemic and cross-section measures and are divided into technical, organizational and R&D categories. Italy has transposed the ITS Directive (Dir. 2010/40/CE) through Article 8 of the Law-Decree n. 179/2012. Complying to that article, this Decree sets the basic guidelines to ensure the design, deployment and development of ITS in Italy, in a way which is coordinated, integrated and consistent with policies and activities at EU level. These guidelines are the methodological and operational basis for the subsequent definition of a national Action Plan on the development of ITS
ITS Action Plan is followed by ITS Implementation plan, which is not only project reservoir, but as well defines steps for preparation and implementation of ITS systems which could be either as a part of new transport infrastructure or as stay alone ITS systems regardless funding stream if they are fully or partly financed from State Fund for Transport Infrastructure (SFDI) or if they are coo financed from relevant EU operational programs. In PPA Zuidoost (southeast) the emphasis is on strengthening and improving individual recommendations (in-car) by using information that can be acquired and processed with roadside systems (developed in PPA and elsewhere). At the same time, the existing traffic control scenarios are used more dynamically and efficiently by using the in-car data. The biggest challenge here lies in the events traffic in Amsterdam Southeast, in relation to other target groups in this area. PPA Zuidoost thus tests mainly the added value of roadside/in-car integration for in-car services. PPA Zuidoost can also contribute to a transition from less roadside and more in-car.
